The previous "What's new in Les Gets" article was listing some of the new outdoors activities for this 2021/2022 Winter season in Les Gets. This second part is mainly about food and new restaurant in the village.

Top of the Chavannes Restaurant La Croix Blanche – has new owners:

The well-known ski in-ski out Croix Blanche restaurant located on the upper part of the village, right at the top of Les Chavannes chairlift, has been purchased by Alpine Restaurants and completely renewed.

The chef Anthony, will offer a typical local and terroir cuisine that you will be able to enjoy on the sunny terrace or inside the cosy restaurant. The Croix Blanche is easily accessible for non-skiers from the Chavannes gondola and will pleased all the gourmet families.

Le Velvette – Concept store where design meets food:

If you are into interior designing and food, Velvette is the place to be! This urban and contemporary beautifully designed and decorated store/restaurant is held by Sarah an architect who is offering her services but also selling decoration products and serving delicious homemade food. Everything in this place can be purchased. Located in the heart of the village, you can go down for delicious meals, cakes and mulled wine by the end of the day. The little one will be pleased by the play area, while parents will enjoy a peaceful moment. Also, “Sapaba à la neige” is offering pottery workshops where the kids can create a lovely memory of their holidays in Les Gets.

Tartif – Locally sourced ingredients made in Les Gets, 24/7:

Tartif has a vending machine in the “Vieux village” of Les Gets, where you can purchase mainly delicious fresh tartiflettes made of local products as well as daily typical French menu (boeuf bourguignon, blanquette,…) Tartif also offers meal delivery during the season, which is ideal when you are looking for a last minute meal and you don’t feel like cooking.

La Bokka – La Dolce vita without leaving Les Gets:

Located in the new Kinabalu residence on the Route des Grandes Alpes, La Bokka is a typical Italian trattoria: antipasti, arancini, pizzas and pasta the Italian cheffe is only working with fresh products sourced in Italia. At La Booka, culinary pleasure is put first, but design is also important as the restaurant is a real delight for the eyes.

Sush’ski – Asian delights in Les Gets:

Very good news for Asian food lovers especially for those who loves sushis! Sush’ski is located in Les Gets “Vieux village” (ex: Kariboo restaurant), it’s a new restaurant held by four young and motivated holders: Thomas, Adélaïde, Quentin and Léa. Mark and Sue, our two directors, have already tested their menus and they were amazed by the good value and the high quality of their food: fresh, easy to eat, healthy, the sushis, makis, chirashis and other delights.

Les Petits Sablés – Tearoom and pastry shop:

Les Petits Sablés has been tested and approved by Chalets1066 team this Summer. They are selling delicious and entirely homemade food: Pastries, coconut cookies, shortbreads, and lots more. For birthdays, parties, or to treat yourself, don't forget to order your pastry. The tearoom is also offering a nice wine cellar to accommodate your savory snacks on your lunch break. You can find Les Petits Sablés in the new residence Le Vieux Chêne, in the heart of the village.
