Season flying by! - Report on weather conditions in Les Gets

Here at Chalets 1066 we have had an amazing season - it has gone very quickly and we are just about to head into our 12th week of the season with only 6 weeks remaining. Saturday is going to be another busy changeover day but we are looking forward to the new guests arriving. This week has been a particularly interesting week in terms of weather- some of our guests staying on a self catered basis commented that they had skied in all weathers; wind, rain, snow, hail and sunshine in the space of about three days. Hopefully weather conditions settle soon as today was particularly blustery.  This week our chalet host and chalet assistant bumped into a couple of the guests staying in Le Lapye, our catered chalet, on the Mont Chery side of the mountain- they ended up doing a couple of runs with them and then going for a well deserved hot chocolate at the Grand Ourse.This restaurant is a family run business and has the most incredible views across the whole of the Chavanne side of the mountain. The food is excellent and the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating.
