Season flying by! - Report on weather conditions in Les Gets
Here at Chalets 1066 we have had an amazing season - it has gone very quickly and we are just about to head into our 12th week of the season with only 6 weeks remaining.
Saturday is going to be another busy changeover day but we are looking forward to the new guests arriving. This week has been a particularly interesting week in terms of weather- some of our guests staying on a self-catered basis commented that they had skied in all weathers; wind, rain, snow, hail and sunshine in the space of about three days.
Hopefully, weather conditions settle soon as today was particularly blustery. This week our chalet host and chalet assistant bumped into a couple of the guests staying in Le Lapye, our catered chalet, on the Mont Chery side of the mountain- they ended up doing a couple of runs with them and then going for a well deserved hot chocolate at the Grand Ourse.
This restaurant is a family-run business and has the most incredible views across the whole of the Chavanne side of the mountain.
The food is excellent and the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating.
