Les Gets - Paragliding - the pros and cons

Are you afraid of the dark? Spiders? or even heights? Does snow make the fear of heights go away? What about a parachute, will that make you feel more at ease? Here in Les Gets you will notice the sheer amount of paraglider’s littering the sky.  Beautiful and majestic or terrifying? I’m going to say terrifying.

Les Gets - Paragliding - the pros and cons

I can just hear my mum’s voice ‘don’t judge a book by its’ cover’ cutting through my complaints, so I decided to do some research into it.  I’d like to say that this is a blog all about how I tried paragliding, but funding wasn’t an option so I decided to weigh out the pros and cons of the terrifying sport. Much safer.

Pro - You can see beautiful views whilst pretending to be a bird

Con - If you're about to chicken out, the instructor will commonly kick out your legs and drag you with them - they claim it’s safety but I think they just enjoy fear.

Pro - It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity

Pro - I’m sure the adrenalin doesn't suck.

Con - What if your parachute has a hole and you go hurtling to your death

Con - where do you even land?

Pro - You can’t do it without a trained professional

Con - HOW do you even land?

Pro - Bragging rights to all your friends

Pro - You must get some sort of video of the experience right?

Con - Video will undeniably have a background noise of you screaming

Con - Its dangerous and I wouldn't suggest it.

I don’t want to jump to conclusions, but it seems that the cons very much weigh out the pros, my advice, go ski joering instead.
