Les Gets-Morzine : The Belvédère chairlift is getting a facelift!

The previous Belvédère chairlift was a  4 man lift built in 2000, it links  the Les Gets skiing area to Morzine, giving skiers easy access to the Nyon/Chamossière area. It is located close to the top of the Pleny lift. It was transporting around 530 000 people each season and was often overcrowded. Whilst it is in a beginner ( green run) area, it was not the easiest lift to use.

The new lift is high speed and was specifically designed so those new to skiing can more easily get on and off the chairs and whilst it is designed only as a replacement, it is far more efficient and comfortable.

Les Gets-Morzine : The Belvédère chairlift is getting a facelift!

Building works were initially due to start in 2020, but because of the pandemic, they started in May 2021. The construction is almost complete and is due to finish in the Autumn. From Chalet Hastings we have seen them take up all the new equipment..

The new Belvédère chairlift will be transporting up to 2800 people/hour against 2100 wit the pervious lift. It will also have a grass roof, to blend in with the surrounds.

See you this Winter for your holidays on Les Gets and Portes du Soleil slopes and enjoying the lifts opening again this Winter !
