Kids in Les Gets - A family oriented ski resort
Les Gets is well known for its appeal to parents and children, with party towns of Morzine and Avoriaz just around the mountain, Les Gets is always the more humble, family-orientated choice.
There are many different ski schools in the village, ESF being the most well known but also others such as PDS who offer English speaking classes, to make ski lessons as beneficial as possible for tiny tots. But if your child is already ski savvy and ready to go, there are numerous parks and kiddie jumps across the slopes, my personal favourite being the penguin park at the top of the folliets du golf towards Morzine.
This little park has jumps, tunnels and kid-sized slalom races.
Not interested in skiing? No problem, there are many more activities the town has to offer such as sledging, ice skating and ski joering - it's like a snowmobile but you are pulled along by horses, pretty cool huh? There are also non-snow-based activities for those slightly chilly days. Cultural activities across town such as pot painting, museums, cinemas, table tennis and a water park.
There are so many activities in Les Gets for the kids that you won't be able to get through all of it.

Summer in Les Gets is a popular choice, with the holidays crammed with biking events; tour de France, l’tappe du Tour and crankworx to name a few - details can be found on the Les Gets website. But what about events for the family? Kids can also take part in mountain biking with their own mountain routes, it's a sport the entire family can enjoy.
