Les Gets - Brilliant ski conditions in March - Ski holidays

Conditions last weekend in les Gets can only be described as fantastic. On Saturday, it was beautiful, clear skys, recent snow, temperature probably around minus 1 or minus 2, excellent snow on the pistes and not crowded at all.

On Sunday it started snowing again, and the top of Mont Chery was like a blizzard – when I got off the ski lift from the far side, normally, you ski down a slope – this time the wind was so strong that I was stationary!...anyway...despite the blizzard at the top, once onto the other side of the mountain, there was no wind at all and skiing conditions were amazing.

There has been a lot more snow since then – so we look set for an outstanding end-of-season.

The picture opposite was taken on Monday 18th March, this is the ski back route, to Chalets: Hastings, Senlac, Panda, Chavannes and Le Lapye. We also now have a full YouTube Video of the detailed ski back route to Chalets: Hastings, Senlac, Panda, Chavannes and Le Lapye - this was put together more for people who want to actually ski the route, rather than for 'marketing purposes'  - so is a little long  - you can see the video opposite:
