FAQ

You will get an e-mail from us, two weeks before your holiday, with directions. You can also read the section Address/Directions/Parking in the chalet manual on your dashboard.

We will ask you to call us approximatley 30 minutes before you are due to arrive and will will try to have someone meet you at your chalet if it ready.

On busy days, and when the snow is deep, it may not be possible for us to meet you at the chalet at the time of your arrival, in these cases, we will give you a code  to gain access to the accommodation and will arrange to meet you as soon as possible to show you around the chalet. If you arrive late in the evening, we may decide it is best to meet you the following morning.

Les Gets is around an hour's drive, in good traffic and road conditions, from Geneva airport. From Geneva airport you can either take a transfer (which we sell) or hire a car.

You will be sent detailed directions to the chalet you have booked, around two weeks before you are due to arrive.

No problem, we can give you the code to your property  and call to see you the following morning at a pre-arranged time.

A member of the team will meet with you at the Chalet to show you around and explain all the services and facilities available and give you advice on all aspects of what Les Gets has to offer together with special events and activities taking place during your stay.

Yes - if come directly to Chalet Hastings ( where our office is) you can change, leave your bags with us and go out for the day. If you want to ski, you can even have your equipment delivered to Chalet Hastings and your ski passes can be ready for when you arrive. Either we can take your bags to the accommodation you have booked at the end of the day - or you can take your bags yourself.

On departure day, you need to be out by 10:00 so we can clean and prepare for the next guests, however, you can leave your bags at Chalet Hastings, spend all day on the mountains, come back at the end of the day and then start your journey home.

Not only does this give you more time on the slopes, but you also miss the worst of the traffic.

Yes - we have a number of partners for nanny or creche services, these are all shown on this page.

If you would like help with booking one, please just ask, please be aware that at peak times these services do get booked up well ahead.

Each property can normally be put on hold for 48 hours before you must pay your deposit. To put a property on hold, you follow the reservations process.

To secure your booking, you pay on line following the instructions given.

If you do not pay your deposit within the 48 hour period,  you will automatically receive an e-mail confirming it is no longer on hold.

Sometimes, we will extend the period to up to 4 days when a property can be on hold, in these cases, you will have 4 days to pay the deposit and if you don't pay within 4 days, you will not receive the automated confirming that the booking has been cancelled.

You can make the booking through our online booking system. You select the dates you want to book, our system will show you the price, you then press the button to reserve, you are asked for the minimum amount of information and your reservation is then on hold for 48 hours before you need to pay your deposit.

To pay the deposit, you can either do this when you are making the booking on line, or you can either log into your account or you can pay using the link you are sent when you initially make the reservation.

Alternatively you can call us.

When you initially make a reservation you will be sent an e-mail with a link to pay on line. You will also be sent details of how to log into your account. You can pay by any of the following:

  • paying on line when you first book.
  • logging into your account and paying.
  • clicking on the link you are sent when you make your reservation

We take Visa and MasterCard, you can also pay with AMEX by choosing the Paypal gateway.

We have two payment 'gateways' - one with PayPal and one with our bank Credit Agricole ( one of the largest banks in France). Our preferred method is Credit Agricole. If you prefer to pay with PayPal, you don't need a PayPal account and you can see the exchange rate there and then.

A deposit of 30% is payable within 2 days of the reservation being made.

If you do not pay your deposit within a defined period, our system will automatically cancel the reservation and you will get e-mail confirmation of this.

If you want to hold onto these dates, and no-one else has booked them, you can either re-enter the booking yourself or contact the office and we will do it for you.

Winter Season

Normally in the ski season, bookings are Saturday to Saturday. Please note, for 2021-22 we are taking bookings Sunday to Sunday for Xmas and NY Weeks.

Short stays or more flexible arrival and departure days are available for most properties (not all) for bookings within the following periods:

  • 12th December 2021 to 18th December 2021
  • 2nd to 28th January 2022

For the dates above you can choose to arrive on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and have your departure on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The minimum stay is 3 nights.

Please note, the per night price when booking a short stay or a stay which is not Saturday to Saturday is higher than when booking Saturday to Saturday ( apart from Xmas and NY weeks in 2021 as these are Sunday to Sunday).

Summer

During all summer season, book your chalet or accommodation from 4 nights.

The arrival and departure can be chosen the day you want without any restriction.

Please note, if you stay less than 7 nights, the price per night is higher. If you stay more than 7 nights, the price of each additional night is one seventh of the weekly price.

In order to give our customers the best possible value, we have to be careful what cancellation terms we offer, otherwise we would have to increase our prices so there is margin to cover any increased costs/risk.

Our terms are clear that payment of the deposit is a commitment to pay the full amount of the holiday.

The first action to take should always be to contact your insurance company. A good insurance policy should compensate in almost all reasonable cases.

We are giving the customer the option to cancel providing the following process is followed and under the circumstances as below, this is over and above our terms and conditions:

  • The customer must send a cancellation notification in writing by e-mail and must be either a signed pdf document by or originate from the same e-mail address as the person who completed the booking for
  • The customer must pay the outstanding balance in full, the agreed terms and conditions must be complied with ie the outstanding balance must be paid at least 8 weeks before the date of the start of the holiday. This is also important for an insurance claim.
  • We will then put the holiday booking up for sale.
  • If we are able to re-sell the week, we will give a full refund to the customer minus a fair cost for our administration work.

Obviously, if you need to cancel, the more notice you give us, the higher the chances are of being able to re-sell the week, so if you know before the due date of the outstanding balance that you need to cancel, the best action would be to pay the outstanding balance early and tell us you need to cancel.

If the dates cannot be re-sold, the client must forfeit the full value of the holiday.

The benefit of these terms are that we are able to offer excellent value to our clients, if we were to offer re-funds then we would need to build in a margin to cover these costs hence increasing prices to all clients.

If you have an emergency with your property (eg. Burst pipe) we have a 24 hour emergency number you can call and we will try and resolve the issue for your as soon as possible. We live in Les Gets and we have staff the village, so are able to come out to deal with an emergency as quickly as possible.

There is a two tier cleaning system:

  • The Standard Clean - Included in the rental is a ‘basic cleaning fee’ for us to come round after you have left the chalet clean. Our cleaning team will then go through the chalet to ensure it is clean to our high standards and ready for the next guests
  • The Full End Clean - You can walk out of your chalet having done no cleaning – we then charge extra. We call this a full end clean (but we do ask you to strip the beds if you have used our linen and also take the rubbish to the bins).

What you need to do if you ask for the ‘Basic Clean’:

If you opt for the ‘basic’ cleaning, you are expected to carry out the following tasks:

  • If you have hired bed linen and towels from us, please put them in the plastic bags provided, inside your accommodation by your front door. (Please do not remove the mattress covers and pillow protectors) (Covid19 measure)
  • Empty the fridge and put in a plastig bag to throw away with every other food item in the chalet (Covid19 measure)
  • Wipe the kitchen worktops and sink
  • Load the dishwasher and set it off - we appreciate that the programme may not finish before you leave, but if it does, please put everything away.
  • Sweep or hoover the floors
  • Empty all the rubbish bins and take the rubbish bags out to the rubbish bins.
  • clear up any spillages
  • leave bathrooms reasonably clean
  • Replace everything where you found it

If you would like a full end clean and have not booked one before you come on your holiday, please contact Chalets1066, at least 3 days notice is needed before your leaving day to book this ( and this is subject to availability of staff).

Included in the rental fee is a standard clean. You need to leave the chalet in a fairly clean state, our cleaning team will then go through the chalet to ensure it is prepared to our high standards and ready for the next guests. We always spot check after the cleaners have left to ensure nothing has accidentally been missed.

Extra fee for a full end clean: If you would rather not do any cleaning at the end of your stay, we offer a full end cleaning service. Prices are shown on our reservation system and depend on the size of the chalet/apartment.

Covid-19 Clean - This is separate from a full end clean and has become necessary specifically to ensure the chalet/apartment is disinfected. The additional work includes: wiping surfaces with alcohol cleaner, putting all crockery through the dishwasher after the previous guests have left and also spraying the chalet/property with disinfectant using an electrostatic spray gun. A lot of extra work is involved in the Covid-19 clean. We have only had to introduce the Covid-19 clean due to Coronavirus and as soon as there is a solution this extra will not be necessary. We carry out this extra work at cost as we appreciate this is challenging for all.

For some chalets, the full end clean is included, this is shown on the chalet page on our web site.

This is very simple: UK or European travelers in France can use their QR code from the digital European Union certificate or NHS for UK traveler or you can download the French app “AntiCovid” and scan the QR code (NHS or EU).

On the sanitary pass: you can government frequently asked questions or call 0 800 130 000 (free call, open 24/7).

Please not that at the moment, MPI can't offer new contract. We would update as soon as the insurer will have sorted out the situation on its side.

Our recommended insurance company, MPI, provides cover even in the event that the UK FCO (Foreign and Commonwealth Office) advises it is not safe to travel to France due to an outbreak of Covid-19. At the moment unfortunately,

For example, if the UK Government advises against travel to France ( due to Covid-19), you do travel to Les Gets and you have a skiing accident, or your bags are lost, the MPI insurance will fully cover you. Details of the MPI insurance in relation to Covid-19 can be seen here.

Many insurance companies have a clause in their contract stating that the cover is invalid if the FCO advise against travel to a country, this is not the case with MPI.

The only item that the MPI insurance will not cover is for Covid-19 if the FCO web site advises against travel to France, however, UK and EU customers are covered by EHIC/E111 ( and what will replace this under an expected Brexit agreement).

Please note, with MPI insurance you do not need piste insurance, as you are covered for being taken off the slopes by helicopter in the event of an accident when skiing.

Updated on the 28th of November 2021 :

Note: currently teenagers travelling with Adults who comply with the entry requirements into France have no problem travelling to France. The requirement for the adults are that they have had either two vaccines where the second is within 7 months of the holiday or have had the booster and this is recorded on the NHS App and transferred to the Pass Sanitaire) can travel. For details see https://www.chalets1066.com/accommodation/faq#coronavirus-uk-customers-latest-travel-information

Also note: The pass sanitaire is not required for use of the ski lifts and piste or to stay in our accommodation. The Pass sanitaire is only required for entry into Restaurants and Bars and large events. Teenagers can have a great skiing holiday without regular tests, their only limitation is they can't get into bars or restaurants without a test.

In France, to get a pass sanitaire with proof of vaccination, people 12+ must have two vaccinations, however, in  the UK teenagers under 16 only have one vaccine which means that at the moment they will need a negative Covid test of less than 24h to get the pass sanitaire.

Anti gen and PCR tests can be done at:

Les Gets Pharmacie 308 rue du Centre in Les Gets

Les Gets Medical Center 138 Rue de la Forge, 74260 Les Gets

Price is currently 30 € at Les Gets Pharmacy (may change during the Winter season).

Officially, you get the results in 24/36 hours for PCR tests at the Medical center and less than 30 minutes for antigen at the pharmacy.

The results can be sent by text with a digital certificate that you can download and use as a pass sanitaire. Or you can get a document that you will need to pick up later at the pharmacy or medical center.

Update 28/11/2021 :

At the moment, whilst there is a lot of speculation, we are not aware of any formal announcement from the government. It is anticipated that the Pass Sanitaire will not be required unless the number of infections increases to high levels.

We are waiting for the Haute Savoie prefecture or the French Government websites to be updated.

Masks are mandatory in the waiting lines and on the lifts.

Updated on the 6th of December 2021.

Entry into France from the UK

The Uk is currently on France’s amber list, and there are different requirement depending if you are fully vaccinated or not.

The medical advice we have taken is that France is safer than the UK for the following reasons:

  • The requirement to prove vaccine status to enter bars and restaurants ( everyone must show the ‘Pass Sanitaire’ – those fully vaccinated in the UK can easily get this – see below)
  • The requirement to use masks in shops, bars and restaurants
  • The higher level of vaccination

For Fully Vaccinated Adults:

You can enter France without an “essential reason” and no isolation on arrival in France, however there are regulations:

A negative PCR or anti-gen test taken within the preceding 48 hours, is now required to access France if you’re arriving from a non-EU country for those aged 12 and over. This change is effective from Saturday 4th December; a test is required regardless of whether or not you’re fully vaccinated. Note, the test must detect the N protein of SARS-COV-2, which does rule out many anti-gen tests, so the PCR test is safest.

To go into Bars and Restaurants and to use the lifts:

You need to show the Pass Sanitaire. There is a French Law requiring that the owners of all bars and restaurants must see the Pass Sanitaire before allowing anyone in to the facility.

How do I get the ‘Pass Sanitaire’:

To get the Pass Sanitaire you download the app, this is available in English from :

The app store : https://apps.apple.com/app/id1511279125

The play store : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fr.gouv.android.stopcovid

and scan in the QR codes you have been given by the NHS.

Fully vaccinated means:

Double vaccination, with the second vaccination within 7 months of the date of the holiday.

OR

from 15th January, a third booster vaccination for those with a second vaccination more than 7 months before the date of the holiday.

Returning to the UK

For return to the UK, the UK government currently require that you will still need a PCR or anti gen test less than 24 hours prior to departure. These tests are easily available in the pharmacy in Les Gets and the cost is around 25 euros each.

For Children aged up to 12:

No test needed and no quarantine (if parents are fully vaccinated) to enter France for children under 12 as they take on the vaccination status of the parents under the French regulations.

For Teenagers 12 to 17 travelling with vaccinated adults.

Teenagers who have only had one vaccine in the UK can travel with adults who have been fully vaccinated, however, when in Les Gets, the Adult regulations apply as above. They will still need to have a negative PCR test or anti-gen test to the standards as explained for Adults above, to enter France.

We do hear that the UK is soon to approve two vaccines for those 12 to 17, so this means they will be able to get the Pass Sanitaire. Please note, you have to wait 7 days after the second test to get the Pass Sanitaire.

For those teenagers not able to get their second vaccine, they will need to have an anti-gen test every day to be able to use the lifts or to enter bars and restaurants.

The Pharmacy is offering tests for around 25 euros each, however, as Morzine is planning to set up mass testing facilities for English Teenagers now fully vaccinated, we expect Les Gets to follow and for the costs to be lower.

Transiting through Switzerland from the UK to Les Gets

You will need to fill in this form: https://swissplf.admin.ch/formular?fbclid=IwAR0-eLSZIVpx-OYomGStEq6b5eoAtnodpbGD0rZ_tIZaUhaeHCZVoaRZoW4$

No quarantine requirement for travelers arriving in Switzerland from the UK who wish to travel onward to another country, as long as travel through Switzerland is less than 24 hours and does not involve a stopover.

You’ll also need to present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of your arrival and a proof you are traveling to France.

Not fully vaccinated: You will need an “essential reason”: skiing holidays are not seen as essential reason.

Use of Ski Lifts and the Piste

As above, Saget (the ski lift office in Les Gets) has now officially announced that the pass sanitaire will be mandatory to access the lifts.

For more details click herehttps://www.sagets.fr/2021/11/22/protocole-sanitaire-applicable-pour-lhiver-21-22/

Entry into Bars and Restaurants in France

As above, Staff will ask to see the Pass Sanitaire when you go into any bar, restaurant or to a large event.

In addition to having had vaccines, the Pass Sanitaire can also be obtained by having had an antigen test within 24 hours. This means that children aged 12 to 18 who are not able to have a second vaccine in the UK will be able to go into bars and restaurants providing they have a test.

The pharmacy in Les Gets will be offering tests, results are normally available within 15 minutes and the cost will be around 25.01 euros.

Is the Pass Sanitaire required to stay in Self Catered Accommodation

No, self catered accommodation is seen as private accommodation and the Pass Sanitaire is not required.

Can teenagers who have had Covid within 7 months of travel to France but only one vaccine get the Pass Sanitaire?

The UK are currently not issuing QR codes to those 16 or under who has had Covid. If the UK change this policy, teenagers who have had Covid within 7 months of travel will be able to get the Pass Sanitaire.

As it stands, they will be able to travel to France with adults who are able to get the Pass Sanitaire. They will also be able to stay in the accommodation we manage and currently they will have no restriction on the ski lifts/pistes.

However, if they want to go into bars, restaurants and ski lifts they need to get a daily test, the tests will be easily available in the village at the Pharmacy and the results will be available within 15 minutes.

What happens on return to the UK

The current UK regulations are that arrivals from all countries except those defined as 'red' have to take a PCR test within 2 days of arrival and to self isolate until a negative result is seen. For those who need results quickly, tests are available on arrival at most airports with rapid results.

Please note, France has a lower infection rate than the UK and so these regulations may well change.

How to Ensure you don’t get Covid in Les Gets

As mentioned, our medical advice is that with the use of the Pass Sanitaire and masks, France is safer than the UK.

Our medical advice is also that the chance of getting Covid whilst skiing is remote.

Whilst Bars and Restaurants ask for the Pass Sanitaire on entry and so everyone in the facility should not have Covid, there is always a small risk. So, to absolutley minimize the risk of catching Covid  our medical advise is to cook in self catered accommodation, or to use our meal delivery services.

What happens if someone in our group does get Covid whilst on holiday

Unfortunately, you will need to isolate in a hotel for 10 days and then test negative before travelling back to the UK, however, good travel insurance will cover you for this eventuality.

We strongly advise customers to check the latest regulations before departure, we cannot take legal responsibility for keeping this document up to date with the latest information.

We are advising customers who are concerned that there may be a lockdown in the 2021-22 ski season to delay booking until the situation is clear.

Last ski season we offered to move bookings to the following ski season due to Covid.

We are very confident that there will be no lock down for the 2021-22 ski season and that all customers will be able to come to Les Gets. If we were to offer a guarantee, we would need to increase prices to cover risk/cost of insurance and all the administration work, which was tremendous for the ski season 2020-21.

We want to offer the best possible price for our customers and as we believe there is no risk, we have decided to not offer a Covid Guarantee.

Additionally, as a business, our forward bookings are very strong for the ski season 2021-22 ski season and we are not in need of deposits to fund cash flow to our business, so we would rather wait for customers to make a quality decision.

One of our representatives will be appointed to be the central point to co-ordinate all support needed. We will work with the local medical centre (which is excellent) to help with any treatment and isolation that is required. We will assist with managing the safe return to your home and also with the delivery of groceries and food if your party is unfortunately isolated.

The pass sanitaire is easy to get by downloading the app and using the QR codes from the following:

  • Double vaccination, with the second vaccination within 7 months of the date of the holiday.
  • OR from 15th January, a third booster vaccination for those with a second vaccination more than 7 months before the date of the holiday.
  • OR, Proof of negative RT-PCR, antigenic test taken within 24h.
    • OR a positive RT-PCR or antigenic test attesting to having had Covid 19 at least 11 days and less than 6 months before. This indicates a limited risk of reinfection from  Covid-19.

Anyone who has two vaccinations in the UK can have the EU Pass Sanitaire.

          Whereis the Pass Sanitaire needed:

Pass Sanitaire is required to get into the locations listed below.

  • Clubs, bars, cafés, and restaurants including terraces, (take-aways, catering, chalet chef excepted)
  • Concert and venues
  • Cinémas
  • Museums and exhibitions
  • Festivals
  • Sports events (amateur outdoor sports events) and closed and covered sports establishments
  • Game rooms, escape-games, casinos
  • Fairs and lounges
  • Any cultural, sporting, playful or festive event, organized in the public space or in a place open to the public, which may give rise to a control of the access of persons.
  • Hospitals for persons going to scheduled care, unless otherwise decided by the head of service or the competent authority where the application of the pass may affect access to care
  • Long distance public transport: interregional public transport

The Pass Sanitaire also applies to specific professions, for example all health professionals including care workers must have the Pass Sanitaire in order to be able to work.

  • Note: The health pass (Pass Sanitaire) applies to all people aged 12 years and more. The health pass also applies to specific professionals at their place of work.

The main reasons we are confident Les Gets is amongst the safest resorts are:

  • One can drive to Les Gets, and driving is clearly safer than flying
  • There is no large gondola to get to the ski area, most chalets/apartments are close to the piste and many are ski in/out to within a few meters
  • The Haute Savoie region of France is in the lowest risk category in France
  • With a lot of accommodation being close to the slopes, you can easily get back at lunchtime - meaning you don't have to use a restaurant if you prefer not to.
  • Self-catering accommodation means that one group uses all the accommodation and is not mixing with others.
  • The cleaning standards of Chalets 1066 are based on medical advice and in particular, soft furnishings (which our medical advisers tell us can 'hold' the virus for a few days) are disinfected by specialist equipment and chemicals.

For full details read our blog article.

Les Gets skiing area should be open from the Saturday the 18th of December 2021, depending on the snow conditions. If the snow conditions are good before this date, the lifts could be open during the weekends.

Closing of the skiing area : Sunday the 10th of April 2022, depending on the snow conditions.

All these openings depends on the weather and sanitary conditions, as well as any external impacts not identified up until now.

Spoony Cooks will offer a chef service for 2 nights minimum, with the exception of the peak weeks ( New Year, Half Term, etc). Chez Toi will offer a minimum of 5 nights.

However, with the meal delivery services you have complete flexibility, with Bon Appetit you put your meals in the freezer and use them when you want, with Direct Dining, they will deliver for just one night, they cook the meals in the morning, deliver in the afternoon and you heat up in the evening.

Of course, call us and we would be happy to help and advise.

The bread and croissants are made early in the morning, in Les Gets. We collect your order at around 07.15 from the patisserie and deliver to you with our 4 wheel drive vehicles.

We need your booking for the full week before, as the patisserie has to plan and schedule their work.

We sell you the bread and croissants at exactly the same price as you in the patisserie shop. We only charge for delivery and admin and our delivery charge is the same if there has been a one-metre dump of snow or if the roads are clear.

The savings, when booking chef service and self-catered accommodation separately, when compared with an 'all in' fully catered package can be up to 5000€ per week for a group of 4 adults and 4 children in like for like accommodation and meals of same/better standard. There are four answers to this question:

  • Tax Savings: When an operator sells a fully catered ski holiday, VAT ( TVA in France) has to be charged at 10% on the full value of the holiday. When Self catered accommodation is offered and the operator is not selling/offering meals directly, then the VAT/TVA rate is 0%. As you are paying the chef service or meal delivery service directly and you are not paying us for this service, you only pay TVA/VAT on the means and not on the accommodation. You are therefore making a significant saving in tax.
  • You pay the Chef Directly: Our partners for meal delivery and chef services are all local companies we have built up a relationship with over many years, we know they offer good quality at good prices.
  • Detailed Price Comparisons: We have carried out detailed price comparisons with a number of companies offering catered chalet holidays. We have taken great care to ensure that the level of service we have included is at least the same as the catered chalet offer. For a group of 8 people, 4 adults and 4 children, we have found savings as much as 5000 € for a week. Of course, the savings are different for each week of the season and are also dependant on which company the comparison is being made with.
  • Proven experience: Last ski season, we managed 4 properties which we sold as self-catered. These same properties are being offered this year by a different company fully catered. We have carried out a price comparison week by week for the ski season and have added on chef service and cleaning services onto the prices we were offering the same properties last ski season. For these properties, from the analysis we have carried out, the savings are 500 to 2500 euros per week for 8 people. Additionally, we believe that the chef service we were using in our price analysis would deliver a higher quality meal than the meals that the fully catered chalet company are offering for the 2020-21 ski season, hence we believe that our calculations are conservative.

For more details of the benefits of booking with Chalets 1066 and separate chef or services.

For more details of Catering services.

Please note: for compliance with the French tax regulations so that VAT (TVA in France) does not need to be charged on the full price of the holiday, we cannot provide ourselves (unless otherwise stated): a full breakfast service, regular/mid-week cleaning or chef service. It is for this reason that these services are provided by others.

We have run our business for over 12 years, we live in Les Gets, we have built up good relationships with many local businesses, we have tried all their food and we only recommend those we know to offer excellent quality at a good price.

The Frozen gourmet meals are made in a small village around 20 minutes drive from Les Gets by Martin Clare who previously worked as a Chef The Savoy in London and who also was the Chef for the wedding of Alex Polizzi, known as The Hotel Inspector on UK television. She gave him an excellent review.

There are two ways you can hire ski equipment:

You can go to one of the shops in the village, we have agreements for our clients to have discount with the ski shop Berthet Sports.

Alternately, you can have ski equipment fitted/delivered to your chalet, this can be arranged for a time suitable for you.

Duvets and pillows are provided.

There is an additional charge for a full linen pack, this includes: sheets and duvet covers, pillow cases, bath and hand towels, bath mat and tea towels. We include bed making in the price for the linen pack.

Where there is a fire, the firewood is provided (with the exception of the appartment Wessex). Please not that we do not provide kindling or firelighters. You can buy this at the garage in Les Gets and in all supermarkets.

Hairdryers are usually provided in all properties.

Every property has a supply of rinse aid and salt, washing up liquid, general cleaner, toilet cleaner.  We also provide you with a few dish washer tablets, two toilet rolls and a cloth to get you started.  No food items are supplied at all.

Almost all chalets include Fondue and Raclette sets. Please do take great care to ensure you clean them properly after using them. There are also shops in the village that will rent these out and provide the cheese and meats especially.

Yes, we can organise the very best ski school, private instructors and area guides.  Les Gets is home to a wide range of mountain sports including downhill skiing and snowboarding, cross country skiing, ski paragliding, mountain biking and on-road cycling...and many other incredible activities.  We know the very best people to help you experience all of the activities on offer. You pay the instructors directly, this gives you the best value.

We can arrange airport transfers, we sub-contract to a company we have a good partnership with, we train all their drivers in the exact location of each property, they also have mainly 4 wheel drive vehicles, so you can be assured of getting to your chalet. Details of airport transfers are on this page. Once you have booked your accommodation with us, you will then have the option of adding on airport transfers.

If you would like taxi's while on your holiday, contact us and we will arrange this, however, do book at least a day in advance, as these services do get busy at peak times.

Check in is 16:00 hrs unless the chalet is ready before and check out is before 10:00 hrs.

If you want to arrive early on your arrival day and/or leave later on your departure day, you can come to Chalet Hastings, where we have our office, leave your bags with us and go out for the day.

Many customers have their ski equipment delivered to Chalet Hastings and also their ski passes, this way you can arrive early and go straight out skiing/enjoying the village and return later in the day and then go straight to your accommodation when it is ready.

Please note, if you do not have your own transport,  you need to arrange the transfer of your bags in advance with Ski Transfers.
