La Cave Getoise - High quality products and local
Since 1945, La Cave Getoise in the heart of Les Gets, has offered its clients the hightest quality products and a personalised service. The store has been family owned for three generations. The owner now is the 3rd generation to manage the business and is extremely proud to continue the work of his grandparents and parents.
By continually searching for quality products, La Cave Getoise are able to offer customers the finest cheeses, cold cuts, and wines (both from France and abroad). They also offer locally produced honeys, jams, and chocolates which are great gift ideas for family and friends back home.
7.50 euros per person (Pre-Grated Cheese Only):
200g grated cheese per person (a mixture of Beaumont, Comté & Vacherin Fribourgeois)
10 cl of dry white wine per person
Kirsch (a few drops)
1 clove of garlic
Rub the inside of the fondue pot with a large, peeled clove of garlic.
Add the white wine to the fondue pot and bring to a slow boil
Add the grated cheese slowly to the fondue pot and stir continuously in a figure of 8 until the cheese has completely melted.
Pour in the kirsch and continue stirring.
Cut the bread into small cubes
Move the fondue pot to the table and continue to stir during the meal.
Please note: La Cave Getoise DOES NOT provide the garlic nor the bread for your fondue.
With their extensive wine selection, they are happy advise on the most suitable wine for and to accompany the fondue.
In addition to the cheese, they also have a large variety of cold cuts. If you would like to add an additional “taste of the Savoie” to your meal, please ask when placing your order.
If your accommodation does not have a suitable pot for Fondue, you can hire one (or more) from La Cave Getoise at no extra cost. They do however ask for a security deposit of 50 euros per pot which will be returned to you upon the return of the pot(s) after use.

200g Raclette Cheese per person
8 Varieties of Cold Cuts (one slice) per person
Pure pork saucisson, Cured Ham from the Savoie, Dried Beef, Lonzo, Coppa,
Caillasse (cured filet mignon), Noix de Jambon, Speck (streaky bacon).
Please note: La Cave Getoise DOES NOT provide the potatoes for your Raclette.
With our extensive wine selection, we are happy advice on the most suitable wine for and to accompany the Raclette.
If your accommodation does not have a Raclette Set, you can hire one (or more) from La Cave Getoise at no extra cost. We do however ask for a security deposit of 50 euros per machine which will be returned to you upon the return of the machine(s) after use.
