Les Gets - Wonderful ski conditions end of March

It has been snowing most of the day in Les Gets, temperatures are cold and the snow is settling. The snow making machines have also been hard at work overnight.

Les Gets - Wonderful ski conditions end of March

This is a brilliant time for taking a ski holiday, there are no queues at the lifts, the pistes are quiet, and the conditions are excellent. The picture opposite was taken of the Granges Piste earlier today, just after lunch. The pistes were so quiet that even after lunch, in parts, you could still see the combing from the piste machines.

The Chavannes piste had two very different groups on it: today there was the 'wacky races' - where seasonaires dress up in fancy dress and ski for the afternoon, and also most of the local school children were having lessons with ESF. So - if you avoided the main Chavannes piste - it was very quiet as you can see from the picture opposite.

Yesterday, I had a lesson from Ben and today, I practices parallel turns, smoothly changing the angle of the skiis and trying to ensure both shins were parallel – my right turns are fine but my left not so. Rock the Pistes also starts today, there is a large platform set up in the middle of the village, ready for the performance this evening.

We are taking a lot of bookings for New Year and half term next year...so...if you want to come at any of these times...best to book quickly.
