Les Gets also has a massive range of routes, from something suitable for small children, through fantastic cross country to world class downhill. The ski lifts have hooks for bikes, so you can cover a large distance and get high up without too much hard work! This page gives more information on MTB in Les Gets.
Around Les Gets are 650km of marked tracks and 24 ski lifts open all summer long (with hooks to take your mountain bike) there are 13 interconnected mountain resorts. You can even ride to Switzerland and back in one day.Comparing Les Gets with Canada - we found Les Gets to be far better.
In Canada the scenery is mononotous - all the same, there are no traditional villages, typically you have a one hour drive each morning (and the same in the evening) and there is not the wide range of riding available. Compare this with outstanding routes around Les Gets and being able to almost roll out of bed onto the lifts!

Family Mountain biking:
We have maps showing all the local mountain bike routes - these are well marked and graded according to ability - there is something for every-one - from 5 year olds upwards. There are many shops in the village where you can hire bikes and if you would like a guide - we can help arrange that too.
Cross CountryMountain Biking:
You can do anything from easy cross country around Les Gets, to routes which take you to Italy or Switzerland and back in one day. We have ridden the Portues du Soleil route many times, this is an excellent circuit which takes you to Switzerland and back on one day - with time for a leisurely lunch.
Downhill biking in Les Gets:
Les Gets was the location of the World Championship for Down hill mountain biking a few years - our opinion is that it is the best location in the world. The routes are sepate from the cross country routes. You can hire quality downhill bikes in the village (to buy these typically costs around £3000).
